ABOUT ME

I am licensed Psychologist with over 16 years of experience. Clients describe me as compassionate, warm, and funny. I consider therapy to be collaborative, but you can always expect me to: hold space, validate, gently challenge, and be by your side as you navigate challenges.

I have devoted my career to  advocacy, activism, and providing affirming care. I have worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, in-patient, corrections, and university counseling, which have equipped me with the skills to support a wide range of concerns.

On a personal note, I am queer, non-binary, and polyamorous (among other identities). I'm a parent to one and partner to two.  I would describe myself as quirky, nerdy, passionate, and a bit silly and I find joy in many things, from watching horror films to baking for loved ones.

Insurance:

In California, I am paneled with Aetna insurance. In Oregon, I am paneled with Aetna and Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield. I accept insurance via the Headway platform, which preauthorizes services and shares information about your financial contributions as well as limitations to using your insurance. Due to poor rates of compensation for psychologists, I do not plan to panel with other insurance plans. I also do not pursue single case agreements with other insurances.

For out of network clients: some insurance plans offer reimbursement for services provided by an out of network provider. I provide superbills for reimbursement and am happy to walk clients through how to pursue this with their insurance.  Please note, I cannot guarantee out of network coverage and encourage you to speak with your insurance about your plan's out of network reimbursement.

Cancelation Policy:

I charge the full session rate for cancelations made under 24hours in advance. This fee applies whether you use your insurance or pay out of pocket for services. If you experience an emergency, please speak with me and we can discuss options to avoid this charge.

Under the No Surprises Act, consumers who are not using health insurance are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the cost of medical services. You have the right to receive this estimate at least 24 hours before any non-emergency medical appointment or service. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
